Understanding autoflower strains and feminized seeds
Pests also love Banana, so be sure to keep it in a cool, dry climate.
With thousands of strains to choose from, here are six of our favorites that are great to grow indoors.
A newer favorite of ours, Wedding Crasher has a classy lineage: Wedding Cake and Purple Punch. This hybrid leans toward the indica side with Purple Punch in its roots and has short, dense buds with hints of purple.
For indoor growers, GG4 will provide up to 18 ounces per square meter, and its flowering time is 8-9 weeks. If you grow outdoors, it produces up to 21 ounces per plant with a harvest date of mid-October. GG4 also offers high resin production, making it a clear favorite for users looking to investigate the effects of concentrate. When it’s time for harvest, bring an extra pair of scissors because wet trimming clogs up the blades quickly.
Dutch Treat is a strain that prefers being grown indoors. It responds well to a hydroponics system, although a good soil environment should ensure that it thrives. Even amateur growers find Dutch Treat easy to cultivate. You are better off only trying to grow it outdoors if you live in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) because the region’s climate is ideal.
Outdoor growers can expect a return of 16 ounces per plant and to harvest by mid to late October.
The bushy pattern of GG4 means you can grow it in a tiny room. This is especially the case if you use the Screen of Green (SCROG) technique. It is relatively easy to grow because it requires fewer nutrients than most strains. In general, it is best to cultivate Gorilla Glue #4 indoors. Even so, GG4 can thrive in a warm climate when growing outdoors.
3 – Green Crack (Sativa)
GG4 is a cross of Sour Dubb, Chem’s Sister, and Chocolate Diesel. The strain has won numerous Cannabis Cup awards. Now, it is possible to grow it at home in states where cultivation is legal.
If you love weed, there are few things more satisfying than growing your own. There are a host of advanced strains that will pose a challenge to even the most experienced and talented growers. If you fall into the category of ‘novice,’ we recommend trying to grow one of the five strains mentioned above.

Best Weed for Beginners
Blue Cheese is a pungent indica-dominant marijuana strain that novice growers should find easy to cultivate. It contains up to 20% THC and is a great strain for beginners as it is naturally resistant to mold and handles cooler temperatures well. The Blue Cheese strain has an average indoor flowering time of between 8-9 weeks and provides growers with relatively high yields of 18 ounces per square meter.
If you intend to grow cannabis plants with dense buds for recreational use, then you may want a sativa-dominant marijuana strain with uplifting and energizing effects. However, if you are a medicinal cannabis consumer looking to alleviate the symptoms of your condition, growing cannabis plants with a high CBD content may be best for you.
Gorilla Glue Auto, Bruce Banner Auto, GSC Extreme Auto
Born from Blueberry and Super Silver Haze, Blue Dream is one of the most popular strains on the market, best known for its smooth, relaxing daytime high. The sativa-forward strain from California features THC levels up to 21% and a distinct blueberry scent and flavor profile with touches of vanilla and spice. The Blue Dream plant is on the taller side and its sweet scent can attract parasites, so it’s ideal for indoor growing.
Just as sweet and colorful as its name suggests, Zkittlez is an indica-dominant strain that produces a complex, fruity aroma and beautiful buds in green, purple, and orange. A mix of Grape Ape and Grapefruit, this strain boasts THC levels up to 23% and relaxed and uplifted effects that result in a perfectly balanced, mellow high. Generally compact and bushy and fairly resistant to mold and mildew, Zkittlez is a great strain for indoor growing beginners. More advanced growers can easily train their Zkittlez plant to optimize its yield.

Born in the Golden State, this bright green, indica-dominant strain is known for its chill, happy vibes. With incredibly high THC levels up to 27% and a stimulating buzz, Banana Kush is a favorite among creatives and social butterflies alike. Bruce Banner is known to pack a punch. With extreme THC levels up to 25% and an intense rush of euphoria and energetic joy, this green monster produces a happy “Hulk effect.” A blend of OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel, Bruce Banner’s smell and flavor profile is undeniable, with a unique combination of fruit and diesel. Bruce Banner is also a hearty plant that produces highly potent, huge yields.
GSC Extreme is a super-powered, indica-dominant variation on standard GSC. A hybrid of parent strains Durban Poison and OG Kush, this strain features high-THC levels up to 21% and promotes feelings of relaxation, happiness, and creativity. The plant’s aroma recalls notes of chocolate, mint, and a touch of spice, while its flavor is both sweet and complex.
